After a successful Spring celebration in 2022, Wil and Josh will be offering a second event this Winter by weaving together an evening of cacao, sound, movement and nourishing food. As we begin to enter the colder months of the year, we warmly welcome you to join us inhonouring this transition into Winter at The Dock Studios.
Using a combination of music, sound and Sacred Earth Medicine Ceremonial Cacao, we have intentionally curated a 3 hour immersive experience to take you on a heartfelt journey of self-discovery. Depending on your intentions, there will be space to go within, cocoon and honour the stillness and slowness of Winter and also opportunities to cultivate energy and warmth through movement.
We will begin with Willliam serving Ceremonial Cacao, inviting you to connect to your heart and open up to whatever you may be needing or wanting at the time. Josh will be playing a live DJ set inspired by the grounding, organic sounds of Central and South America, the home of cacao ceremony. The intention will be to blend this with other world sounds, creating a space to either dance with cacao, have a solid earth-stomp, sit and find stillness, or anywhere in between.
Towards the end of the session, William will guide you into a deeper state of rest and relaxation through the healing tones and frequencies of various sound healing instruments. We will conclude the evening by coming together and sharing a warm, hearty vegan meal, prepared by Jordan Caire, to support in grounding and integrating our experiences.
We invite you to show up just as you are, to release any inhibitions and judgements, and to hopefully walk away feeling lighter, more open and connected to yourself and the world around you.
Things to note:
- Event begins at 5:30pm sharp with doors opening at 5:00pm. Please be punctual.
- Suitable for all
- Wear comfortable clothing with extra layers in case it gets cold
- Herbal tea and light snacks provided before the event and a hot gluten free, vegan meal served afterwards around 8:30pm
- Yoga mats provided but limited props available. For additional comfort during the Sound Bath portion, please BYO cushions, blankets, bolster, eye pillow, etc...
- Generally, it is recommended to drink Cacao on an empty stomach to enhance its effects, but if you need to eat prior to the event please have something light beforehand
- Cacao has psychoactive properties, but is not a psychedelic. If you are sensitive to stimulants, taking prescription medication, have any serious heart conditions or are pregnant, please let us know prior to the event.
