Surrounded by unspoiled bushland and sweeping valley views, King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre is the perfect location to restore and recharge.  Nestled on the north-facing hillside of the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley, near the Great Ocean Road and the Otway Ranges, where the air is pure and the only sound is birdsong, King Parrot offers peace and tranquillity to nurture the soul.  Only two hours from Melbourne and one hour from Geelong, there are five cottages, a lodge and hall, as well as activities onsite that make King Parrot the ideal destination for a complete wellness experience.

The architecturally designed accommodation is fully self-contained, ranging in size from single to four bedrooms. Each offers superior comfort, stylish, rustic character, and privacy with stunning views of the surrounding hills and bushland. With modern amenities, a barbeque, fireplace, and deluxe bedding in each cottage, a comfortable stay is assured whatever the season.

There are acres of accessible terrain waiting to be explored at King Parrot. Take a hike through the gorgeous bush tracks, exploring diverse terrains from the rainforest valley floor to the north facing side of the Pennyroyal Valley. Follow the mossy creek through fern gullies and beneath towering eucalypts and discover our private waterfall.

Observe nature’s glorious gifts unfold with each season. In the winter months, morning mists lift to reveal rolling hills in the lushest of greens. For adventurous Souls, hiking the hills in winter is a quick way to warm up and the views of the valley or glistening bush is a worthy reward. FACILITATORS:

Sally Kellett - Mirosuna

Sally is a professional meditation teacher, certified sound meditation practitioner and founder of Mirosuna - a wellbeing hub and mindfulness studio created for busy professionals to truly recharge.

After experiencing the real, tangible benefits of mindfulness herself without giving up hours of her day to meditate, along with studying mindfulness both in Australia and internationally, Sally now teaches others how to bring meditation and mindfulness into their own lives so they see the benefits long after they finish their meditation class.

Mirosuna, meaning ‘the perfect moment to create space for change’, is Sally’s answer to sharing the tools and techniques required for lasting mindfulness without the ‘woo woo’. Combining the most effective ways to experience deep relaxation and access more happiness and meaning in life, Sally has created an urban sanctuary designed to offer the best in sound baths, meditation sessions, mindfulness classes and a range of therapeutic massage, all optimising the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of anyone who visits.

Whether it’s a mid-week mindfulness class, her trance-inducing sound meditations, or her travels to learn mindfulness direct from Buddhist nuns themselves, Sally’s work always ties back to helping people create more fulfilment, more meaning and more connection in their lives.

William Wong - The Wong Way

William is a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master and Sound Healer based on Kaurna land (Adelaide, Australia). His Yoga classes focus on building strength and mobility in the physical body, whilst strengthening the relationship to our inner world through self-inquiry and loving awareness. He enjoys using a combination of Yoga asana, breathing techniques, chanting and meditation to cultivate presence, focus and reconnect to mind, body and Soul.

His teachings are heart-centred and come from a place of experience, integrity and embodiment. He truly believes in the healing and transformative power of yoga, sound, meditation and mindfulness and enjoys holding sacred space and supporting others along their respective healing and transformative journeys. For William, there is nothing more fulfilling than encouraging others to follow their hearts and empowering them to rediscover and remember their passion, path and purpose.

Daryl Khor - Loving Hut

A vegetarian and vegan for over 25 years, Daryl is also a yoga teacher and long-time meditation practitioner. His family’s restaurant Loving Hut in Richmond has been on Melbourne’s Vegan scene for more than 10 years. The ethos of Loving Hut is to promote the compassionate Vegan diet and bring an end to the suffering of all beings. Daryl will bring some of the signature Loving Hut favourites to the retreat as well as a variety of delicious and nutritious food to delight your taste buds and nourish your body, mind and soul.

Loving Hut was created with a vision that all beings, human and animal alike, can coexist in peace, love and harmony with each other and the planet, offering an accessible starting point for all, no matter at what stage each may be on the noble transition to a plant-based diet.
